The school house in Hopetown Behamas

BCYC and The Krogen Cruises provide some much need aid in the Behamas
We delivered books and school supplies to the Hopetown School.  The girls in the yellow tee shirts are Bahama Girl Guides, their teacher call them the “do gooders”, they have just raised money to help buy fans for schools in the out islands.  Our visit was a great teaching moment about paying things forward! Thanks to all the Back Creek Yacht Club and Krogen Cruisers who donated books and supplies. Hopetown is located on Elbow Cay in the Abacos, part of the Bahama Island group.

The Hopetown students thank all for the donation of books and supplies.

30 members and 13 boats cruised the middle bay during the last week of May, for the Annual BCYC Fleet Captain's Spring Cruise. The weather was kind with good winds and calm seas. All enjoyed the camaraderie and we really had a great time. This picture was taken from the deck of the Tred Avon Yacht Club a truly beautiful spot.
