Aargh Matey!

The pirates are invading Rock Hall on the weekend of Aug. 12 and 13. Be there and bring your wench.

The Back Creek Yacht Club will be staying at Lankford Bay off the Chester River  Friday and Saturday night.

Arrive Friday afternoon for some grog and catch a ride to the Bay Wolf restaurant for dinner at six and then a sea shanty sing along there after dinner.  (The sea shanty song book can be downloaded off the web. It appears as though it could be fun to use at other BCYC events that may include grog, piracy and singing.)

Saturday morning features breakfast at the marina, with an abbreviated version of BCYC’s famous flip, flop and drop.  Terry enjoyed making omelets so much he will be at it again as FLIP!

The rest of Saturday will be on your own to wonder about Rock Hall and enjoy the many scheduled events, including music, story telling, wine tasting, rum tasting, a beach party, dinghy decorations contest, and all sorts of mayhem that pirates can get into.  Visit rockhallpirates.com to see the schedule of activities.

So get some pirate attire, there will be awards in Rock Hall as well as valuable prizes for the best BCYC pirate and wench at Lankford Marina.

Ten slips are saved for BCYC at the marina for Friday and Saturday nights. Call them on 410-778-1414 to reserve your slip. For those who may have never been there, it is a quiet marina fairly well protected from piracy, on Lankford creek off of the Chester River. It is several miles from Rock Hall so we will be able to escape the pirate mayhem when we want to. It also has a swimming pool for your cooling pleasure.

The marina says they do not normally have shuttle service to Rock Hall, but they plan on doing something for that weekend.  If not, we can consider a van, or commandeering a local vehicle or two (we are pirates after all.)

Hosts: Terry and Jeanie Bidnick

Address: 23002 McKinleyville Rd, Rock Hall, MD 21661

Registration DEADLINE - Sunday, August 6, 2017

Dinner at 6:00 at Bay Wolf restaurant in Rock Hall, pay on your own, (menu entrees run in the range of $20:00,)  followed by singing and wondering the streets of town.
